New members of Board of Directors appointed

Bruce Perens, John Goerzen, and Benjamin "Mako" Hill have been appointed
to the Board of Directors of Software in the Public Interest, Inc.
(SPI), as of 11 March 2003. This action recognizes and effectuates the
outcome of the recent election.

The three new members were in attendance at the Board meeting held the
same day, and were appointed as the Board's first item of business.

The sitting Board members, Ean Schuessler, Wichert Akkerman, Branden
Robinson, Ian Jackson, Martin "Joey" Schulze, M. Drew Strieb, and Manoj
Srivastava, warmly welcome Bruce, John, and Benjamin to their ranks.
