The following resolution has been accepted by the Board of Directors
of Software in the Public Interest:

Revoking 5% rule for donations

At the January 21, 2002 meeting of the board of directors of Software
in the Public Interested a decisions was made to reserve 5% of donations
to cover administrative costs by SPI.

Whereas

  * it is unclear what the actual administrative costs for SPI are, and

  * the decision was not properly announced

it is decided that:

  * no percentage of donations made after January 21, 2002
    will be reserved for SPI use anymore
